I would strongly advise you leave our GRIB Forecast Data enabled (its on by default) as you will get far greater detailed and improved cloud layering.

However, it's up to you whether you want to install FSUIPC. So it's perfectly stable (doing nothing), doing nothing at all apart from providing a useful interface to the sim to supplement the limited SimConnect interface. It's installed but not configured to do anything. Hence it's the wx engine that creates the Weather and the GRIB data allows far greater cloud detail and produces far more aesthetically pleasing views (using the soft cloud textures that define how individual clouds look).Īs I mentioned above, you do NOT actually use any features of FSUIPC.

Re: CaptainSim 757 III P3Dv4 + PRO ATC X Reply 1 - Jul 24 th. The soft clouds look nice but it's the Weather engine that defines what cloud types and layers are displayed. FSX and FSX Steam Edition and FS2004 (requires FREE copy of FSUIPC) Fully supported. You are really not understanding what the difference is between the Weather engine and the cloud texture bit maps. The soft clouds are nothing more than the cloud textures (bit maps) they are only part of the solution. Again it's GRIB data that will allow far greater detail and more aesthetically pleasing views out of the cockpit. A further conversion for specific use in P3Dv4 is available here. It's the Weather engine that defines and injects the Weather including specifying all cloud types, layers, and formations. 1 hour ago, John Dowson said: Did you make any assignments in FSUIPC after. So with GRIB you WILL get more realistic winds up to your low 8000 feet ceiling, more importantly for you, you will get far more detailed and complex cloud formations making the flight more aesthetically pleasing.įor that i use REX Soft Cløouds, no need for GRIB or GRAB or what ever you call it, no thank you (essential for realism although you may not require it). VC and 2D panel by defoltnogo A321 + FMC (requires a (FSUIPC) List of. It also helps define pockets of clear air turbulence etc. (shouldnt be too long now) Better yet, get yourself P3Dv4, FSX is a dead platform. it helps define the detailed and complex weather you see out of the cockpit. Secondly and probably more important for you, even though winds aloft up to 8000 feet are very important, the GRIB forecast data provides essential meteorological data to define both mid level and high level cloud formations, possible cloud associations, etc. So even if you never climb above 3000 feet AGL it's still useful. GRIB forecast data will define all winds aloft. If movements are jerky, reduce the "Axis smoothing" in SPAD.GRIB forecast data is used for much more than what you have assumed.

If you go for SPAD.neXt check the windows calibration (Control Panel) for the axes, and then calibrate the axes within SPAD.neXt Re: Lua dynamic Ground friction mod from FSUIPC Post by Bernie » Fri, 23:15 Saldo wrote: Fri, 19:08 That LUA friction file does not work in P3dv4. When the simulator starts V5 will ask if you want to load.
If you created a folder without this file then I dont believe it has installed properly. The FSUIPC6 folder must contain the add-on.xml file, I believe, in order for P3dv5 to work. This flight tracking software is purchased by airline administrators and given to pilots to allow the recording and filing of their flights. Well if both SPAD.neXt and FSUIPC (or FSX) handle the axes you will get unpredictable results. What is smartCARS The smartCARS system is a flight tracking software made for Flight Simulator X, Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D, Laminar Research's X-Plane, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. I will like to have SPAD control these instead of FSUIPC but I have no way of telling (to my knowledge) FSUIPC to ignore Yoke, Quadrant and Pedals to avoid any conflicts. I have the latest version of both applications and I am wondering if having these controls active on both applications can cause conflict. What's the association between SPAD.next and FSUIPC with regards to the Yoke, Quadrant and Pedals? I have a bit of problem with the pedals as they are kind of jerky moving.
